WHY OSTRICH EGGS HARD TO BREAK ?

Why OSTRICH EGGS are tough???

Ostrich eggs are so strong that an adult human can stand on one and it will not break.
This is because the egg has to bear the weight of an adult ostrich when it sits on the egg to incubate it.
The ostrich lays the largest eggs of all living birds. Each egg may be more than 15 centimeters (six inches) long and may weigh more than 32 golf balls.
But the adult ostrich can weigh twice what many adult humans weigh. According to the Guinness Book of Records, male North African ostriches [Struthio camelus camelus] have been recorded weighing more than 156 kilograms (345 pounds) and growing to 274 centimetres (9 feet) tall.
If ostrich eggs were not tough, they would be crushed when the adult ostrich sat on them, and no baby ostriches would be born.

Hi Juz Hao and Lin,

I hope this email finds you well. I recently helped build an infographic about Amazing Egg Facts and thought you might like to use it on Intresting Facts. Here's a link to the infographic(http://www.jesrestaurantequipment.com/jesrestaurantequipmentblog/amazing-interesting-egg-facts/).

There's code below the IG that helps you post it, but if you need another image size or would like some help, just let me know. : )

Thanks!
